John’s career began with 17 years as an investment banker after which he left Wall Street to become a social entrepreneur and has been using his finance and strategy skills for impact. He has extensive experience evaluating, improving, and financing business models and marketing strategies in a variety of industries. John created the revenue-based finance structure that became the Grunin Prize-winning investment structure Performance Aligned Stock.
Prior to consulting for WoWE, John was responsible for overseeing operations and building and expanding impact solutions at Toniic Institute with a focus on impact strategy, innovative finance, and impact evaluation. His portfolio at Toniic included developing member education and advisory services, managing a program to integrate multiple global impact and sustainability metrics and reporting systems, and writing about financial innovations for ImpactTerms.org.
Between his work in investment banking and his work at Toniic, John was the CFO, COO and co-founder of Her Future Coalition, an international organization that creates empowering opportunities for survivors of gender violence to build an independent, safe and rewarding future.
