Melanie has over 20 years of experience in private equity taxation, mergers and acquisitions and fund structuring. She is the Global Head of Tax and a member of the Valuation Committee at EIG Global Energy Partners, a leading institutional investor to the global energy sector with over $20 billion under management. EIG specializes in private investments in energy and energy-related infrastructure on a global basis. Prior to joining EIG in 2014, Melanie spent 16 years as a tax consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she advised clients in the alternative investments industry. She holds a B.A. in Mathematics, with honors, and J.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an L.L.M in Taxation, with distinction, from Georgetown University Law Center.
