Marty has over 35 years of experience in the retail business and held senior positions in a broad range of retail channels including department stores, specialty stores, TV, catalog and the Internet. Marty served as President of HSN, the TV, Internet and catalog business. Prior to HSN Marty successfully turned around Afterthoughts, a formerly unprofitable teen specialty store.  After overseeing its acquisition by competitor Claire’s stores, she became President of the combined 2,600-store chain. Marty also served as President of Kenneth Cole retail stores and held senior positions at Macy’s and Bloomingdales. Since stepping back from the corporate world, Marty has been dedicated to programs supporting diversity and gender equality. She supports women entrepreneurs as an advisor and mentor through multiple organizations including the New York Fashion Tech Lab and Golden Seeds whose programs offer guidance to women in early-stage businesses. Marty is committed to doing her part to support the research and care of cancer. A disease that has touched her family personally in recent years. She has served on the National Board of Advisors of the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute in Tampa since 2006. Moffitt is an NCI designated Cancer Center. She is the Board Chair of their Marketing and Public Relations Advisory Committee. Marty is a Trustee on the Board for the Palisades Free Library, founded in 1891. Marty is a graduate of Trinity College with a BA in Mathematics.
