IMX is building the first healthcare futures exchange to facilitate risk management and price discovery that allows all participants to benefit. Currently, there are no capital markets instruments that define aspects of the healthcare industry, and IMX is working to restructure the industry. The company is building a series of investable indexes to track economic activity in various subsectors of the healthcare industry, specifically focusing on individual diseases, conditions and treatments. The new healthcare exchange platform will allow players in the industry to come together to trade these and other healthcare-focused instruments.

Why We Invested

With healthcare costs at an all-time high, the impact opportunity is unparalleled for the introduction of a healthcare futures exchange. Today, healthcare accounts for more than 20% of the US GDP, but very little has been done to hedge against healthcare risk. Our investment provides WoWE with the unique opportunity to be involved in the early stages of a capital markets platform that will shape the future of a sector that has significant numbers of female stakeholders. WoWE aims to ensure that products and services that prioritize women’s health are brought to the forefront of the trading market and that the correct players are involved to align financial and impact returns, especially reduced costs for patients.
